So this week, we’ll be hosting a trunk show to let you see the gorgeous pieces that luxury-brand St. John has on the market for spring. Who else is over winter before it’s even really started? Raise your hand.

Now, let’s talk about the brand and what it really is. It’s gotten a reputation for being for “women of a certain age”, especially executives. While this is true – those knits flatter any bottom – it’s hardly stodgy. Gisele Bunchen and Angelina Jolie were faces for the label, and they’re pretty much the sexiest women on the planet. St. John’s got a slew of different labels, each tailoring to a slightly different style set. If I could pick one word to describe it all, I’m going with sleek.

Point of this text, take another look. The model has cat eyeliner. That first black look below is something a young Audrey Hepburn would wear if she were here today. The red top and black pants could go for a twenty-something exploring Paris or a sixty-something heading to lunch with her girlfriends. The colors are vibrant. The looks are tailored.
