Canali Spring 2014 – Behind the Brand

Today we had our Canali trunk show, and I wanted to research the brand a little further to see what goes into each garment.

For starters, everything is Italian, and all of the work on each piece is done in Italy. In a time where many companies are outsourcing their labor, Canali sticks to its roots and takes pride in being all-Italian.

Each stage of creating one of their tailored pieces requires hand sewing and the brand boasts that a jacket can be done in no less than 200 steps.

“Beauty for us means balance, and it comes from a deep and combined knowledge of the man and of our “art” to produce something apparently simple but involving and exciting. A concept of beauty rich in contents and poor in ostentation.”

So what do you have to look forward to this spring from Canali if you missed the trunk show today? Below are a few runway looks. Select pieces from Canali’s fall collection are available in Larrimor’s right now.
