Meet Carlos Falchi!

This Thursday and Friday, December 11th and 12th, you can meet the man behind the handbags.

Come prepared to ask him anything. I’ll give you a little background on the designer.

Falchi has the typical New York success story that young designers dream of, the kind that only comes true with undeniable talent and late nights. He was working as a bar boy and making his own patchwork leather clothes after immigrating to America only a year before. When he worked the graveyard shift, he saw people who noticed his designs and wanted them for themselves. He ended up making pants for Miles Davis, then meeting Tina Turner. In the 70s, his patchwork pieces morphed into highly covetable handbags splashed with color and made from exotic skins.

Now he’s adorned everyone from Jackie O. to Tina Fey and has 40 years of business behind him. His couture pieces are all handsewn in New York, and his designs have stood the test of time.

So why don’t you come on in to browse his bags and ask him how he does it?
