Celebrating the Centennial

People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. This is especially true when it comes to fine tailored apparel. One of the most cherished brands in the United States history, Oxxford Clothing is about to celebrate its centennial.

Oxxford was founded in Chicago’s West Loop in 1916 by two brothers, Louis and Jacob Weinberg, who were dedicated to old-world craftsmanship.

Each suit is individually cut by hand, plaids and stripes are matched at every seam, buttonholes are hand-stitched, and all coat buttons are made of horn.

Over 2,950 stitches by hand are done to ensure shape and balance in the collars and lapels.

The fabrics are selected from the finest mills in Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom of only natural fibers. Final pressing by hand takes over an hour after the suit is complete.
